Louis XV Style Boulle Bracket Clock by Goret Circa 1800
Louis XV style Boulle style bracket clock by Goret in an inlaid brass case with heavy gilt bronze mounts. The case is surmounted by a gilt bronze classical figure of a goddess holding a trident and supported by two dolphins, over a large circular porcelain and brass dial marked Goret a Paris, behind a glass door mounted with a large gilt bronze classical figure of a woman with 2 winged putti and a dolphin and various musical instruments, and supported by gilt bronze figural feet. With matching wall bracket. The large square brass 2-train time and bell strike movement is engraved on the backplate, Goret Paris. With case key, movement key, sunburst pendulum and side glasses. Clock: 40.75 H x 21.25 W x 9.5 inches D ; Bracket: 18 H x 22.5 W x 11 inches D. Circa - 1800.
