Antique c1890 25 Patch Quilt
Antique c1890 25 Patch quilt measuring 72" x 71. It is comprised of 16 blocks 13" 13", set straight 4 x 4, with 4.25" wide indigo sashing and 3.5" wide borders. It is hand pieced and hand quilted. There is a thin cotton batting and an indigo print reverse. The edge is finished knife edge style by machine. Fabrics include lots of indigos, claret, mourning prints and more. It is in good condition with a few small spots and some fading in the sashing. This quilt is part of the Living Estate of widely respected Sharon Stark of Sharon's Antiques Vintage Fabrics and Textiles of Eastern PA. She was an author and long time collector and dealer of antique quilts, fabrics and textiles. Sharon is the authority on Feedsacks, and you may remember her Rickrack website. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $25 is a domestic shipping estimate for first quilt and includes insurance. We will gladly combine multiple lots for your convenience and economy.
