Antique c1890 9 Patch Quilt - Bars Back
Antique c1890 9 Patch quilt measuring 81x83". Comprised of 36 blocks, 9x9", set straight, 6 by 6, with 3" red print sashing and chrome yellow cornerstones. There is a 7" wide red print border. It is hand and machine pieced and hand quilted. There is thin cotton batting and a stripy bars back with chrome yellow and red print fabrics. The edge is finished with the front brought to the back and applied by hand. It is in good condition with several spots and backing has overall toning. This quilt is part of the Living Estate of widely respected Sharon Stark of Sharon's Antiques Vintage Fabrics and Textiles of Eastern PA. She was an author and long time collector and dealer of antique quilts, fabrics and textiles. Sharon is the authority on Feedsacks, and you may remember her Rickrack website. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $25 is a domestic shipping estimate for first quilt and includes insurance. We will gladly combine multiple lots for your convenience and economy.
