Antique c1880 Snow Ball Quilt
Antique c1880 Snow ball quilt measuring 76x87''. Comprised of 56 blocks 9.9x9.5'', set straight, 7x8, with a 5'' madder print border. It is hand and machine pieced and hand quilted. It has thin cotton batting and a brown Jacobean style print reverse. Edge is finished with a madder print applied binding. In fair condition with several spots and water marks. There is a note pinned to the quilt ''Quilt was made by thankful Smith Avery born 1815, died 1885''. If you have any doubt, please ask questions!
