AAI Tear Gas/Irritant Spigot Cup Launchers (9)
9 tear gas launchers are all from Aircraft Armaments Industries (AAI) from the 1960s and 1970s. Each one is 3.5" diameter and is 8" long. 1) L100 launcher for 12 ga shotgun - silver label states “MODEL NO. L100 and top is held with 8 rivets. 2) L-100 (A) M-PG Launcher for 12 ga shotgun -paper label. 3) Model L-100 Launcher for 12 ga shotgun with 1974 dated paper instruction label. 4-7) 4 total L-100 (B) launcher for 12 ga shotgun. All 4 have 1974 dated paper instructions. 8) L-300 Launcher. This one was designed for use with a 37mm gas gun to fire the MPG gas hand grenade. The inside of the cup is rifled. Held on the weapon by a turn screw. A white paper label says “MPG LAUNCHER MODEL L 300; launcher mounting instructions; and warning; trademark. 9) L-300 Launcher. This one was designed for use with a 37mm gas gun to fire the MPG gas hand grenade. The inside of the cup is rifled. Held on the weapon by a turn screw. There are no markings or label on this launcher, but it has the same appearance as the Model L 300. Very scarce launchers for creating a collection with a few extra to trade or resell.
