"Melamed" alongside Jewish children while studying - early postcard
A real photo postcard showing Jewish children sitting on a wooden bench next to a chicken coop, with the "Melamed" beside them, and their textbooks on their feet. The caption describing the postcard states that the Teacher is a "Wanderer Rebbe" (who goes from place to place to teach the children of Israel). Very rare. D. Wever Publishing, Dusseldorf. Early 20th century.
