"Official newspaper, declaration of the establishment of the State of Israel", color print - Szyk's monumental work to the Declaration of Independence. New Canaan, Connecticut, 1948.
An impressive print that combines illustrations of Zionist and Jewish symbols, portraits of biblical figures alongside figures of a sower farmer and a Hebrew soldier; The full version of the Declaration of Independence, the Israeli flag and the Star of David. To the right and left are pulleys at the foot of a tree trunk, alluding to the Holocaust and its revival. One of Szyk's most important works.
