Antisemitic plate. c. 1900
An antisemitic bronze plate, in the center of which three Hassidic Jews sit on a wooded bench and talk, and the caption: "NACH GROSS WARDEIN" which means "in the direction of Oradea" which refers to a popular Jewish song in Yiddish of the Jews in the area. Ordea, Romania - c. 1900.
The same plate is displayed in the permanent exhibition of the Yad Vashem Museum. See also "Antijudischer Nippes und populare" judenbilder by Falk Wiesemann p. 44.
