Synagogue Key. Eastern Europe, 18th Century
A large and massive synagogue key with a Star of David on his head, Eastern Europe 18th century.
Keys of this kind were used for the front door or the gate of the synagogue [a similar key found under the rubble of the Maharsh'a synagogue in Ostroh, Ukraine]. Typical of synagogues in Russia-Ukraine.

Length: 24 cm. Width of the Star of David 7 cm. Signs of rust. Good condition.
