Jerusalem bethenay and bethlehem by Josias Leslie Porter Published by THOMAS NELSON AND SONS London, Edinburgh, and New York 1887 - a printed dedication on the front page of the title page "To Her Majesty the Princess of Wales' with deep feelings of gratitude ...". A book of a journey to palestine, with many pictures of important sites, residents of the land, and an extensive overview.  also appears a colorful map of Jerusalem.


The author Josias Leslie Porter [1823-1898] surveyed the Land of Israel and Syria several times, and published a number of essays. In 1865 he published his book "The Giant Cities of Bashan and Syria's Holy Places" which gained much interest and circulation, and led to his publication.
