A colorful 'relief map' of the Eretz Israel by Dr. Yosef Shapira. The map was distributed as a gift from the Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper on February 17, 1950, with a special supplement about the cartographer Yosef Shapira and the quality map - also attached is the newspaper's special supplement.
Dr. Yosef Shapira, born in Lodz, immigrated to Eretz Israel in 1935. A few years later, he founded Y. Shapira Publishing - Graphic Publishing, where he engaged in various graphic works, especially the preparation of atlases and maps. Shapira published many dozens of maps in various fields: general maps And maps of Israel, maps of cities, maps of institutions (like the map of the Histadrut and its institutions), and maps of the Israeli wars, and he is considered one of the greatest cartographers of his generation.
