"Ein Jude treibt Philosophie" - an anti-Semitic publication in the midst of the World War, Berlin 1943 - first edition
Ein Jude treibt Philosophie - "A Jew deals with philosophy" By Dr. Alexander Centgraf, Published by Paul Hochmuth, Berlin 1943 - First Edition.
An anti-Semitic essay presented to the public as a conclusion from the Jewish scholar's philosophical teaching Otto Weininger [1880-1903]. Weininger was a self-hating chauvinist who converted to Christianity and committed suicide at the age of 23, after publishing his book "Sex and Character" which deals with the question of the difference between the male and female character. In one of the chapters, Weininger, describes the archetypal Jew as feminine, and therefore as non-religious, without true individuality, and without a sense of good or bad. Christianity is described in his book as "the highest expression of the highest faith", while Judaism is described as "the extremism of cowardice". Weininger expresses in his opinions what seems to him, the humiliation and decay of the modern era, and does not differentiate at all between Judaism and femininity in terms of hierarchical status.
The use of Weininger's character and his life story was convenient for the anti-Semitic author Alexander Centgraf. If the educated Jew, who is even considered a genius, expresses himself in a contemptuous manner and with great hatred towards the source of his identity - the obvious conclusion is that anti-Semitism is a fact, and not blind hatred in his opinion. He uses his character to convey the anti-Semitic message to the population by way of so-called "intellectual" propaganda. The Nazi ideology embodied in the book highlights the inability of a Jew to overcome his "blood" by converting his religion to Christianity. According to the principle inherent in Weininger's teachings, a Jew who converts his religion is not able to be redeemed, because he has no soul - he has no character - he cannot change. Weininger, who converted to Protestantism, finally committed suicide, thus showing that a Jew has an inability to change his inner character. His failure to integrate, in the eyes of the Nazis, proves that the Jew cannot connect to the foreign environment in any way. The book is full of harsh anti-Semitic expressions, and blind hatred.
