From the last destruction - Munich, 1946-1948 - photographs, charts, maps, testimonies
פון לעצטן חורבן [From the last destruction], an early periodical documenting the Holocaust of European Jews, edited by Israel Kaplan. Munich, 1946-1948. Yiddish and some English. Accompanied by many rare photographs from the time of the Holocaust. Consecutive issues 1-10 (all issued that published, no additional issues were printed)
10 consecutive booklets that include dozens of articles on European Jewry under Nazi rule, survivor testimonies, maps, tables, data, reminiscences of Holocaust survivors, and photographs. Among other things, there are photographs of Jews in ghettos - also from small communities, photographs of Jewish prisoners in camps and forced labor, difficult-to-view photographs of the bodies of Jews who perished, and more. Many of the photographs that appear in these booklets are not known from anywhere else, and even the content that accompanies them sheds light on the events of the Holocaust from the first medium, and very close to the time of their occurrence. About 100 pages and more in each booklet.
10 complete booklets. Good general condition.
