The Political Struwwelpeter - "The Schockheaded Politician" - A British parody in the style of Heinrich Hoffman's book "Struwwelpeter" ("Schockheaded Peter"), by Harold Begbie with illustrations by F. Carruthers Gould, published by Grant Richards. London, 1899 - First edition. Limited edition of 5000 copies only.
A parody of the British Parliament in the style of Dr. Heinrich Hoffman's book "Struwwelpeter". The character of Peter is replaced by "The Naughty British Lion". The book and illustrations appear just as in Hoffman's "Struwwelpeter", but with characters from the British Parliament, with the author satirizing the tense relations between members of parliament and their dealing with the public and other parts of the government. He also mocks the contradictory nature of British politicians.
