Collection of synagogue postcards. Europe, early 20th century


30 postcards showing synagogues in various cities around the world, the vast majority of them from Eastern and Western Europe. Publishers and various printing dates, early 20th century.


There are synagogues from the cities: St. Petersburg [two different postcards], Wilna, Budapest [Hungary], Warsaw [Nozik synagogue, the only surviving synagogue that survived the Holocaust], Zurich, Koln, Oran [Algheria] Roma, Geneva [Switzerland], Bratislava, Urdia [Transylvania] and others. Two postcards of the Jewish Quarter in Rodi which are not synagogues.

15 were sent by mail, 10 are undivided back (before 1905).  general condition: fine- very fine.
