"Prof. Einstein" - a photograph by Zvi Oron [Orushkes]

Albert Einstein - Photo signed with the stamp of photographer Zvi Orushkes.

Photographer Zvi Oron [1888-1980], after trying photography in Warsaw and then in the United States, purchased photography equipment in Egypt, and in 1919 opened a photography studio in Tel Aviv. Worked mainly as a press photographer. [Particularly published in the photograph that he performed for the body of the writer J. H. Brenner murdered in 1921]. In 1930 he moved to Jerusalem and opened a studio on Jaffa Street. He worked for years in the service of the British Government and the World Press. The uniqueness of the Oron photographs is that they present a different, spontaneous and non-staged look at the events of the period, especially the British Mandate years in Palestine. In 1969 his photographs were exhibited in an exhibition in Ashdod and in 1973 in the Israel Museum. In 1974, he exhibited at the Jewish Museum in New York. The Zionist archive contains 1380 negatives of Oron, of which 800 were taken in Jerusalem. 670 negatives were made at the invitation of the British Government.

Size: 19x13 cm. Given in wood and glass frame. A few peels. Good condition.
