1936 OLYMPIC GAMES BERLIN EPHEMERA GROUPING (11)
Group of eleven 1936 Olympic Games Berlin items: (1) USA American Olympic Fund paper decal, gummed back, 6 x 4.375 in.; (1) USA American Olympic luggage tag 'Help Win America', 2.5 x 2.75 in.; (1) 'Illustrated Current News' poster showing 6 U.S. Olympic winners, including Jesse Owens, printed August 17, 1936, No 3579, Illustrated Current News, New Haven, Conn., 19 x 12.5 in., folds; (5) collotype b/w prints 'Memories of Old-Berlin Olympic Year 1936', 6.625 x 4.5 in., mounted on paper, 9.5 x 7in.; (2) etchings of the Olympic Stadium printed by the Reichs Printing Office, 9 x 6.75 in. plate, 15 x 11 in. sheet size; the final item is one 1934 'Stadium De Paris' Stock certificate with 40 coupons, with an image of a future stadium in Paris flanked by Olympic or sport rings, due to the outbreak of WWII the project never realized, 16.5 x 12.375 in. sheet size, one fold. Eleven pieces.
