CONFEDERATE STATES NAVY BUTTON
Scarce gilded brass uniform button from the Confederate States Navy. Front of the button shows a fouled anchor atop crossed cannons with the acronym 'CSN' below with a rope border. The back of the button reads, 'Firmin & Sons - 153 Strand London - & 13 Conduit St'. Approximately 1 inch in diameter. The buttons were made for the Confederate Navy in England by Firmin & Sons, military ornament manufacturers, intended for Confederate officers
