JAMES LOVELL APOLLO 13 SIGNED BOOK
(b. 1928) American astronaut, commander of the Apollo 13 mission, which suffered a critical failure en route to the Moon. He was also the command module pilot of Apollo 8, the first Apollo mission to enter lunar orbit. He is one of only twenty-four people to have flown to the Moon, the first of only three people to fly to the Moon twice. 'Apollo 13', by Jim Lovell and Jeffrey Kluger, 30th Anniversary edition, Houghton Mifflin, 2000, hardcover, 378 pages. Original dust jacket bears a price label on the spine, with some wear. Personal dedication to the previous owner on the half-title page. Signed by Lovell in black ink on the title page of his book. Else good.
