HITLER YOUTH NAZI WAR LIBRARY BOOKS (10)
Ten books belonging to the Third Reich children’s book series 'Kriegsbuecherei der Deutschen Jugend' ('War Library of the German Youth'). The lot includes number 2, 19, 21, 23, 81, 83, 85, 87, 102, and 146, focusing on the war at sea. The booklets were published at weekly intervals from 1940 through December 1942 and commissioned by Reich Youth Leader Baldur von Schirach for the Hitler Youth. Their purpose was to inspire the youth to join the military. Every book in this set follows an actual event from World War II and has a brightly illustrated cover glorifying the German military cause. 8.25 x 6 inches. Covers show some wear.
