WWI GERMAN COMMEMORATIVE GOBLET
German WWI commemorative globlet in memory of Hage 1918. The goblet is engraved 'In memory of Hage 1918' and a WWI Iron Cross has benn affixed. A WWI German Imperial U-Boat badge is applied to the opposite side. the goblet is made of German silver or Alpaca, 10 inches tall and 5.25 inches in diameter at the top. Hage is a small East Friesian town in Lower Saxony, Germany. In 1914 the Imperial German Navy used the strategic location to establish an airship port. In the first years of the war, Hage was one of the bases for German military airships on the North Sea to bomb targets in Great Britain.
