MOUNTAINEER'S NOTEBOOK AND PHOTOS (50)
A mountaineer's notebook dating from 1942. The notebook is marked with the previous owner's name on the front flyleaf page and two pamphlets warning of the dangers associated with going up a mountain. Included with lot is 48 photos of Austro-Hungarian soldiers on a snowy mountain. The photos are likely from the 1910s to the 1920s. Also included with lot is a German gun permit dated from 1896. The permit is stamped with two official stamps. Photos approx. 4 x 3 inches. Notebook is 9.75 x 6.5 inches. Some photos have inscriptions on verso and notebook has minor damage on cover.
