9.07CT TANZANITE & 0.58CTW DIAMOND PLATINUM RING
One electronically tested platinum ladies cast tanzanite and diamond ring with a bright polish finish. Condition is new, good workmanship. The featured tanzanite is set within an inner platinum basket and an outer diamond bezel supported by a lattice under gallery and diamond set three-way split shoulders, completed by a three millimeter wide band. Trademark is Orianne. Identified with markings of "PT950". Containing: One prong set oval modified brilliant cut natural tanzanite, measuring 15.14 x 11.27 x 7.59mm, exact weight 9.07ct., clarity is eye clean, type I, dark, very slightly grayish, bluish violet color, (GIA bV 7/3), cut is good. Transmitting light with no distortion, transparent. GIA Gemological Report attached. Graded loose prior to setting in the GIA Laboratory, Report #2175570504. Tanzanite is a very rare gemstone that is only found in the country of Tanzania. Originally discovered in 1967. Tiffany and Company, named the stone Tanzanite. It is found in the Usumburu Mountains that border the Umba Valley of northern Tanzania. Tanzanite occurs in gray, brown, violet, blue, reddish-purple, and green. The gem is interesting because of its exceptional pleochroism. Rotated in different directions a tanzanite will exhibit multiple changes of color. Tanzanite has a low tolerance to ultrasonic cleaning, and should not be cleaned using this method. Eighty-two prong set round brilliant cut diamonds approximate total weight of 82 Stones = 0.58ct. Graded in the setting. Clarity VS-1 to VS-2 Color D - F Total Weight of Colored Stones 9.07ct. Total Weight of Diamonds 0.58ct.
