Long Autograph Letter from the Holy Rabbi Shabtai Sheftel Weiss, AB”D Nagysimonyi; 1910
Long endorsement entirely handwritten by Rabbi Shabtai Sheftel Weiss, known as the “Shimanoy Rav.”
Rabbi Sheftel Weiss, (1866-1944) known by all as the "Shimoni Rav, " was recognized in his youth for his great mastery of Talmud. Renowned as a miracle worker and baal ruach hakodesh, people flocked to him from near and far for blessings. Hungarian rabbis of his time revered him as a prodigious scholar and credited him as a messenger to save Jews through his great prayers and blessings.
He authored Hilchassa Rabbasa L'Shabbasa.
In his letter, the Shimanoy Rav heartily recommends his student and praises his student’s parents with kindness and warm words.
Rabbi Weiss’s seal can be found on the right-hand side of the letter.
