Letter from Rabbi Yehoshua Pinchas Weinberger regarding the
sefer Bracha Lechayim by Rabbi Chananya Yom Tov Lipa Braun which discusses the various customs of saying “
lechayim.”
Rabbi Yehoshua Pinchas Weinberger was the son of Rabbi Shmuel Zalman, Av Beis Din of Margareten and a grandson of the Maharitz. He succeeded his grandfather’s position in 1934, serving as Av Beis Din of Seflak, Margareten and its environs. He perished in the Holocaust.
