Handwritten and Signed Business Card from the Admor of Biala 

Handwritten and signed business card from the Admor- Rabbi Yechiel Yehoshua Rabinowitz of Biala, addressed to his in-law, Rabbi Shmuel Aharon Shadrowitzky, son of the Admor- Rabbi Meir Shalom of Kubrin. 

The letter is handwritten on the back of the Admor’s personal business card. In his letter, the Admor offers the recipient to invite whomever he wished to a Shabbos aufruf (Shabbos before a wedding), and inquires if the apartment he had arranged for him is satisfactory.

The wedding in discussion is that of his son, Rabbi Matisyahu David, author of Lahavas David and future successor of his father as Admor of Biala.

Rabbi Yechiel Yehoshua Rabinowitz of Biala (1901 - 1982) was orphaned from his father, Rabbi Yerachmiel Tzvi of Siedice, at a young age. During the war years he was deported to Siberia and eventually emigrated with his children along with the Teheran Children. In 1954, the Admor established his Beis Midrash in Tel Aviv. He served as well as a member of the Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah of the Agudas Yisrael. His many compilations were published in the Chelkas Yehoshua series and in the Chelkas Yehoshua siddurim and machzorim.
