A Silver Double Wedding Cup, Bern, Switzerland, Late 18th Century
Repoussed, engraved and punched in barrel form with rocaille motifs. The bases are antique coins - one French dated 1788 and the other Bavarian dated 1768.
With engraved Hebrew inscriptions: On one cup " the voice of groom and the voice of bride and Mazal Tov" and on the other cup "the voice of joy and the voice of gladness, "pure" Sepharadi".
