There are scratches on the frame. About the author Born in Kyoto. He started painting under the influence of his brother Shibata Yuki (a Western painter). Studied at the Kyoto Independent Art College, studied under Suda Kunitaro, and participated in independent exhibitions. Won the Independence Award, the 7th Yasui Award, and the Japan Art Academy Award. He also contributed to artistic exchanges with Brazil and became an honorary citizen of Rio de Janeiro. Member of the Academy of Arts and the Independent Art Association. Died in 2006 at the age of 79
