A portrait of a peasant woman. Pencil and colored chalks on paper. Signed lower left "Ph.Maliavin" in Cyrillic. Philipp Andreevich Maliavin (1869-1940) - Russian artist who combined the modern, impressionist, and expressionist styles in his work. The artist is primarily known for his vivid and distinctive scenes of peasant life.
