A RUSSIAN ICON OF VENERABLE SERGIUS OF RADONEZH
Tempera on wood Russian Orthodox of St. Sergius of Radonezh. In his left hand, the saint holds a folded scroll, a characteristic detail for the iconography of spiritual teachers and tutors or founders of monasteries. The right hand is raised in a blessing gesture. At the top of the icon is an image of a cherub with six red wings. Decorated with gilding. Late 19th - early 20th cc.
