An Orthodox egg tempera, gesso on wood panel icon in gilt-silver chased oklad with the cloisonne enamel hallo and Christ Pontakrator on the bottom. Hallmarks: SG (Cyrillic letters), 84 silver standard. Mid. 19th cen.
Dimensions: Frame Size: 12 1/4 x 10 3/8 in. (31.1 x 26.4 cm.)
Condition: Very good with a custom-made kiot, small enamel chips on the halo.
