AN INDIAN DOUBLE-EDGED BLADE ZAGHNAL BATTLE AXE 18 CEN.
An antique Indian war hammer, a zaghnal axe, with a double-edged slightly curved blade engraved with decorations and tapering towards the point, a finial shaped like an elephant. A long wood hilt with inlaid brass flower ornaments surmounted by a steel spike. Circa 18th century or later.
Dimensions: L: 23 5/8 in., (60 cm.)
Condition: Very good, the blade is clean, shaft may be a later replacement.
