A RUSSIAN PORCELAIN EASTER EGG, 19TH CEN.
A Russian porcelain Easter egg was probably made by the Imperial Porcelain Factory in St. Petersburg in the middle of the 19th century. The blue flowers on the milk-white surface and the initial Cyrillic letter "A" surmounted by the Imperial Russian crown.Provenance: bonhams, the Oxford Fine Sale, 18 February 2015, 10:00 GMT, lot 503.
Dimensions: H: 3 3/4 in., (9.5 cm.)
Condition: Very good, the gilging has partially faded.
