Collection of Japanese Woodcuts
A collection of Japanese Woodcuts, c. 1860's. The woodcuts were purchased by pilgrims who visited Japanese temples and later left the woodcuts in the temples as gifts. They depict ceremonial processions of decorated carts. The processions took place in Tokyo's Kanda district. A total of 46 prints attached to 15 cardboard plates. Dimensions of prints: 16X9.5-16X20 cm.
