Samson grew up as a hermit to the Creator, he did not drink wine and did not cut his hair and as long as his asceticism was preserved, God blessed him with supernatural power which he used in order to take revenge on the Philistines who ruled the people of Israel and they, on the other hand, could not rebel. Samson fought his wars with the Philistines as acts of revenge, on a personal basis, alone.
The third woman in Samson's life was a Philistine girl from Nahal Sorek, named Delilah. The Philistines, who were afraid of Samson's great power and his actions against them, begged Delilah to seduce Samson so that he would discover the secret of his power. Samson revealed to her that his strength lies in the hair on his head that has never been shaved. While Samson slept, Delilah cut off his headgear and thus his power was removed. The Philistines gouged out both of his eyes and put him in the prison.
With the celebrations of the Philistines upon his capture, Samson asked the boy who led him to place him under the pillars of the building, when he did so, Samson prayed to God and asked that He give him strength "Remember me, please, and strengthen me, please, this time, O God, and I will take vengeance on you from the kingdoms of Aim, Einshi" Judges 16:28) He rolled over the pillars and read "My soul perishes with the Philistines" (Judges 16:30) and the structure collapsed on all the celebrants.
In the medallion, Delilah cuts Samson's hair.
