Responsa Beit Yaakov – Dyhernfurth, 1696 – First Edition – Lengthy Scholarly Gloss Handwritten by the Yitav Lev, Rebbe of Sighet, with Two of His Signatures
Responsa Beit Yaakov, by R. Yaakov Rabbi of Tsoyzmer (Sandomierz). [Dyhernfurth], 1696. First edition.
This copy bears a lengthy scholarly gloss handwritten by Rebbe Yekutiel Yehuda Teitelbaum Rabbi of Sighet – author of Yitav Lev, signed by him twice: "Yitav" [=Yekutiel Yehuda Teitelbaum]. The gloss was written in the margins of both sides of leaf 15, and relates to section 10 – a ruling on Terefot. This gloss was presumably never published.

128, [8] leaves. Lacking four leaves – leaves 3, 6, 29-30. Misfoliation. Without additional title page, present in some copies only. 30 cm. Fair condition. Stains and wear. Tears and worming to title page, affecting border, repaired with paper. Open tears to some leaves, affecting text, repaired in part with paper. Worming, affecting text. Stamps. New leather binding.
