Shtreimel of Rebbe Yaakov Aryeh Twersky of Trisk / Silver Plaque from His Beit Midrash and Other Items
Shtreimel of the Rebbe of Trisk, R. Yaakov Aryeh Twersky of London and Bnei Brak.
Shtreimel with a cone-shaped velvet center (typical of rebbes of the Ruzhin dynasty), worn by the rebbe and later by his son R. Yitzchak David Twersky. The shtreimel was received from the rebbe's family, with a letter of authenticity from a family member.

Rebbe Yaakov Aryeh Twersky of Trisk-London (1884-1979), prominent rebbe in England and Eretz Israel. Born in Trisk to R. Mordechai Zusia Twersky grandson of Rebbe Avraham Twersky the Maggid of Trisk. On his mother's side, he was a grandson of Rebbe Yitzchak Friedman of Bohush-Ruzhin. Served as rebbe in Zinkov and Kamenets-Podolsk. After WWI, he fled to Vienna and Berlin, eventually reaching London where he established a large Chassidic court, the first in England. He was renowned for his outstanding love for his fellow Jew and exceptional hospitality – his home in London was always open to all and filled with guests from various countries. He immigrated to Eretz Israel in 1964, and established his court in Bnei Brak.
