Responsa Aryeh DeVei Ila'i, on the four parts of the Shulchan Aruch, by R. Aryeh Leibush Lipschitz, Av Beit Din of Vishnitza (Nowy Wiśnicz) and the region (son-in-law of the Yismach Moshe of Ujhel). Rebbe Elazar Rosenfeld of Oshpitzin (Oświęcim; 1862-1943), youngest son-in-law of the Divrei Chaim of Sanz and son of Rebbe Yehoshua of Kaminka (son of Rebbe Shalom of Kaminka). Peer and student of his brother-in-law's son, Rebbe Shlomo Halberstam of Bobov (the first). Rabbi in Bochnia from 1885. Succeeded his father as Rebbe in Kaminka, and in 1907 moved to serve as Rebbe in Oświęcim, from which he is known as the Rebbe of Oshpitzin. He immigrated to Eretz Israel in 1936, where he established his Beit Midrash [the Oshpitzin Beit Midrash exists to this day on Chesed LeAvraham St., near Mea Shearim], yet returned to Poland just before the outbreak of World War II, and perished in the Sosnowiec ghetto.

Short handwritten glosses (in pen) on the margins of several leaves.
