Bronze medal - child's amulet. [Eastern or Central Europe, 19th century].
Obverse: inside a circular frame is the Hebrew legend "This child will grow to know the Torah and enter a chuppah and perform good deeds". A large heh in the middle, inside of which is a blossoming branch. Reverse: pair of minute fish and the Hebrew legend: "… may you save a child of Israel so he will not fall ill and will grow to adhere to your Torah and protect him in your mercy, Amen".
Diameter: 37 mm. Missing suspension loop. Wear and slight defects.
