Ruling regarding an estate, signed by the dayanim of the Pest Beit Din: R. "Shimon of Krumnau", R. "Azriel Brill" and R. "Moshe Konitz". [Budapest, 1829].
Detailed lists and accounting (in Yiddish and a smattering of Hebrew), related to the estate of the late R. Shmuel Herzls and his widow's ketubah money. The following statement appears at the end of the document before the signatures: "We have emitted all this as a decisive ruling and for additional authority we sign here in Pest on the 17th of Shevat 1829".
R. Shimon Krumnau-Oppenheim (1753-1851), disciple of the Nodah B'Yehuda, Rabbi of Kittsee and of Pest for more than half a century. Authored Har HaCarmel, Har HaMoriah, Har HaKedem and other books.
R. Azriel Brill (1778-1853), dayan in Budapest for forty years, author of Hadrat Kodesh (see: Ishim B'Teshuvot Chatam Sofer, pp. 326-327).
R. Moshe Konitz (1774-1839), Rabbi and Dayan in Ofen and Pest (Budapest). Disciple of the Nodah B'Yehuda and of the Maharam Mintz. Rabbi and Torah scholar, proficient in general knowledge as well. Author of Ben Yochai (Vienna, 1815), HaMetzaref (Vienna 1820; Prague 1857), HaOyen (Vienna, 1796), etc.
