Wedding in the Forest - Berlin-Vienna, 1920
Wedding in the forest, illustrations by Else Wenz-Viëtor, rhymes by I.S. Kamzon. Berlin-Vienna: "Menorah", [1920].
The illustrator Else Wenz-Viëtor (1882-1973), was an important German Art Nouveau style artist, with a sensitive perception of nature - animals and plants. The story "Wedding in the Forest" is a translation of a German story by Adolf Holst. It tells the story of a wedding of dwarfs and small animals in the forest and is illustrated with charming illustrations. [14] pp., 12.5 cm. Good condition, minor stains and tears to binding.
