Revisionist Proclamation Defaming the Policy of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem
"Interpolation of the Revisionist delegates at the Assembly of Representatives concerning the Hebrew University and the recent occurrences amongst its walls". Tel-Aviv, 1932.
Speech delivered by Revisionist movement members at the Assembly of Representatives. They criticized the nature of the Hebrew University under the management of Yehuda Leib Magnes (of the supporters of "Brit Shalom" that called for the establishment of a bi-national state in Eretz Israel). They expressed in particular their objection to establishing a department for International Relations in 1932 where Norman Bentwich taught a course "Calling for Peace".
"….Today, 7 years after the establishment of the university, we see that it has turned to be one of the most painful disappointments of our national lives…Dr. Magnes continues with his policy…and the most prominent example is the department for International Law under the name 'International Peace'…"
Signed in print: Abba Ahimeir, David Abulafia, Moshe Ben Ami, Baruch Weinstein and others. 22.5X34 cm. Good condition. Stains, minor tears at borders.
