Letter of Request for Building GR”A Shul in Bayit VaGan – Signed
Letter to Jerusalem Municipality, requesting the designation of a lot for "residents of Bayit VaGan neighborhood who belong to the Ashkenazi community and are accustomed to praying according to the rite of the Vilna Ga'on, as accepted in Jerusalem". 1956.
The first signature is that of Rabbi Yechezkel Abramsky [whose style can be seen in the letter].
The signers include important rabbis and community figures who prayed in the Gra Shul: Rabbi Elchanan Moshe Kunstadt, Rabbi Ze'ev Lang, Rabbi Israel Bodenheim, Rabbi Dov Cohen, Rabbi Yitzchak Ya'akov Leuchter, and more.
33 cm. Good condition, worn and slightly torn on edges and margins.
