A few years before the outbreak of the war, Rabbi Kahneman came to Chofetz Chaim and heard of the imminent danger in Europe. "So what will it be, Rabbi?" He asked anxiously, and received the Chofetz Chaim's answer: "On Mount Zion you will be a refugee and holy."
