(POLAND, 1947).
Hagadah shel Pesach. Gordonia Maccabi HaTzair - Noar Chalutzi.
Hebrew and Yiddish non-traditional text. Illustrated.
pp. 23. Browned. Original pictorial stapled wrappers, stained. Sm. folio.
(Lodz), 1947.
Stencil reproduction of typewritten texts, many specially composed, and relating to the recent Holocaust of European Jews.
The Hagadah was issued for members of the youth movement "Gordonia" and "Noar Chalutzi" who survived the Holocaust in the city of Lodz.
Founded in 1925 in Poland, the Gordonia movement was based upon the Zionist philosophy of Aaron David Gordon: The redemption of Eretz Yisrael and the Jewish People through manual labor and the revival of the Hebrew language.
Gordonia saw itself as the pioneering youth movement of the Jewish masses - rejecting theoretical ideals of socialism and romanticism in favor of practical pioneering. The principal distinction between Gordonia and the other movements was its decision not to engage in political activities.
