Also it is within 1 half point of the finest known in not PL. A truly exceptional example from the early No Motto Liberty Head eagle series, this attractive coin displays vivid golden-orange patina. The finish is bright and satiny and the fields are fully-reflective. Fully struck with a remarkably smooth appearance, this premium quality coin would make an outstanding addition to an advanced gold type or date set. A quick study of the Population Reports shows a great concentration of coins in the EF-40 to AU-50 range, however, in Mint State it is a formidable condition rarity.
