Shailos U’Teshuvos HaBa”CH. First Edition. Frankfurt 1697
Classic sefer of Halachic responsa by the Ba”CH. At the end of the sefer, the publisher translated certain passages from the vernacular Yiddish into Hebrew for the benefit of “the Sephardic sages”.
R. Yoel Sirkis (1561-1640), was a talmid of R. Leibish of Lublin. Known as one the greatest early Achronim, he served as Rov in various important communities including Lublin, Mezhibuzh, Belz, Brisk and finally in Cracow. In Cracow, he published his monumental commentary to the Tur under the title Beis Chodosh. In addition to his commentary on the Tur and Halachic responsa, he authored glosses on Talmud Bavli known as Hago’os Ha’Bach. He was the father-in-law of Rabbi Dovid HaLevi Segal (Turei Zahov), who refers to the Ba”CH extensively in his commentary on the Shulchan Oruch.
With numerous unidentified rabbinical signatures.
