St George D6618 - Large - Royal Doulton Character Jug
St. George D6618 (). Designed by Max Henk, issued 1968 - 1975. Size: 7.5"H (large) Grey helmet and turquoise armor. Doulton backstamp.
This patron saint of England since the 13th century, George is the hero of a legend which describes him as a chivalrous knight who single-handedly stayed a huge dragon, saving the princess Melisande.
