Edition 23 of 26, numbered lower left. Signed lower right. Abstract goddess like figure; combination of human, vegetal and animal elements. Gold toned wooden frame with clear cover. Sight size - 25.75"H x 16.5"W. Frame size - 31.5"H x 22.25"W. Some damages on the side of frame. Wifredo Lam was a Cuban Impressionist and modern artist. A native Cuban, Lam hailed from Chinese, European, Indian, and mixed-African descent, and he was deeply influenced by African spiritual practices such as Santeria.
