Federal Inlaid Cherry Two-Part Corner Cupboard
A Federal inlaid cherry two-part corner cupboard, first quarter 19th century, the upper section having a broken swan neck pediment with inlaid paterae and acorn and urn-form finials, above a glazed arched door flanked by fluted pilasters, the shelved interior fitted for plate display, the lower section having two molded and paneled cupboard doors, raised on turned bun feet.
Dimensions:Height 106 3/4in; width 49 3/4in; depth 25 1/4in; from corner along wall 33 3/4in.
Condition:In an overall restored/refinished condition. Horizontal age cracks to the pediment. Typical marks, wear, nicks, scuffs and surface scratches commensurate with age and use. Five of the glazed panels have cracks. The feet are later. The brass hardware are later Victorian period replacements.
